All Funmatches, Playdays, and Distance/Accuracy Clinics are open to non-members for as many times as they want to come.  People who are members of other Frisbee Dog Clubs are asked to limit attending two of the above club activities and then asked to make a decision on club membership. Club parties, meetings and Exhibitions are for members only.

Playdays:
A Playday is typically the second Saturday of every month. This is a time when the Club comes together to help and socialize with people and their dogs that are interested in playing Frisbee and with new members. Playdays are open to everyone. This is a great opportunity for non-members to come and meet the club and find out more information about the club and Canine Frisbee in general. For members, this is a time to come out and practice their skills along with getting tips and tricks from other members. This is also a good time to strengthen your skills of performing in front of a crowd. Even if you feel as though you are not ready to perform in front of a crowd, Playdays are a good place for you and your dog to socialize. Be sure to bring water for your dogs, a leash, a crate to hold them while you are working with other members, a chair for you and maybe a shade canopy for those hot days.

Contests:
The DDD club hosts around four exciting contests (Competitions), a year.  Click here to go to our Events section.  Below are the typical layouts of the different divisions for the different sponsored contests.

DDD sponsored Local Contests:

Beginner: This Division is designed for the Canine Disc beginner. This class consists of two rounds of Distance Accuracy, which is a 60 second throw-and-catch session of a minimum of 10 yards.  There is no Freestyle for this Division.  Once the thrower wins 1st place two times, that person must move to the Open Division or to one of the Divisions doing Freestyle.

Open: This division consist of two rounds of Distance/Accuracy that will be open to a any thrower who does not want to do Freestyle, and is required for throwers who have won 1st place in the Beginner Division 2 times, and for Pro's that want to enter a dog Distance Accuracy only (that is, without Freestyle).  This Division puts emphasize on the thrower.  If a thrower is a Pro, (herein defined as being a thrower who has been to world finals or who has ever been a Regional Finalist in the Open Division or equivalent Division or who has won in the Advanced Division of any DDD Local Competition 2 times) then the thrower must enter his or her dog(s) in the Pro or Open division regardless of the experience of the dog.  With the implementation of this Division there will never be a PRO thrower in the Beginner or Advanced Divisions.

Advanced: This Division is designed for contestants that have a Freestyle routine, which is a 90 second routine of tricks choreographed to music, but not at the level that will be performing in the Pro Division. You will have one round of Freestyle and then one round of Distance Accuracy.  If the thrower has won 1st place 2 times in Advanced, he or she has to either move UP to the Pro Division or move OVER to the Open Division.

Pro: This Division is designed for the Pro contestants.  This Division will typically have contestants with specific Freestyle routines.  This is the highest level of competition so this is the Division that will include past, present and future Regional Finalists, World Finalists and World Champions.

Skyhoundz Regional Events:

Sport Division: This division is for competitors that want to compete in Distance Accuracy ONLY.  It will not include Freestyle and competitors will be made up of throwers at ALL levels from beginners to World Champions.  All participants will compete in the first round and the top six competitors of the first round will compete in the second round.

Open Division: This division is similar the Pro division at our local events.  Differences are that only the top 6 scoring competitors will advance to the Distance Accuracy round and will then go on to another Freestyle round.  The 2nd Freestyle round score will be doubled and then added to the Distance Accuracy score.

Contest Music:

When you enter in a contest, you can either supply your own music or the Club will provide something for you. If you provide your own music, bring it to the DJ booth before your performance.

Exhibitions:
The DDD Club does Frisbee Exhibitions on a regular basis. These are open to all DDD Club members. We encourage you to attend the Exhibitions and perform with your dog. Again, this is a great time to work on your skills in front of a crowd.

Fun Match:
This is a mock contest.  A Fun Match is usually held in place of a Playday and is used as practice for a Local Contest and/or Regional Event.  The format is the same as a DDD Local Contest with a Beginner, Advanced and Pro division.
