The air is crisp and the leaves are just starting to turn. Nights have become cool and there is a lingering snap in the mornings as the sun works harder to wake each day. We all know the coming signs of fall as we transition out of the long, hot summer. Love it or hate it, winter is waiting just around the next bend.
It was certainly a busy summer for many of us, not the least of whom would be Paul, Ron and Mark as they prepared for their first World Finals appearances. For the 2nd year in a row the DDDC had three members qualify for the World Finals. That makes six different club members to compete in the World Finals in the last two years - unprecedented success for a dog and disc club!
The Texas State Fair was another smashing success. The scheduling was a little different this year with shows at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30. It basically meant that you had to commit the entire day to perform. We appreciate all of you who gave generously of your time, and hopefully everyone got a true taste of performing in front of large and appreciative crowds.
In other news, the club was able to acquire a much needed trailer this summer for hauling and storing all of the stuff involved in running a vibrant dog and disc club. This was a purchase we had discussed for quite a while and will certainly take a huge burden off the shoulders of Keith who has selflessly hauled and stored all of our equipment over the last
