friends wish she'd lay off the street hockey, though.  It seems Cheyenne is a great goalie, but once she has the ball, she doesn't want to give it back.  Unfortunately, Hector and his friends have a hard time enforcing the "delay of game" rule when it comes to Cheyenne.

Of course, like all good DDD Club members, Cheyenne enjoys playing Frisbee, too.  She and Hector have always played Frisbee.  Ever since Cheyenne was a puppy, Hector always made sure to have a floppy frisbee in his pocket whenever he took Cheyenne anywhere (which was basically everywhere he went). It has always been their special sport.  Ironically, though, Hector never knew there was an organized sport called canine Frisbee until last Spring at the South-Central Regionals held at the Walnut Hill Rec Center.  Chrys, Homer and Cheyenne really enjoyed what they saw, and after seeing the Coppell Dog Walk exhibition, they decided to join.  Since then, Hector and Cheyenne have  competed in the Beginner's Level at the '98 Grapevine Local where they finished second and the '99 Coppell Local where they finished third.  Unfortunately, they had to miss the Dallas Local.

A little less than a year ago, Cheyenne had to make room for two additions to the Gomez household. She now has two brothers - Dundee and Kaycee.  Dundee

is a 10-month-old light brown and white merle Aussie who is not at all interested in Frisbee (can you believe that?).  Kaycee is a very sweet mutt that Chrys and Gomez adopted during last year's Regionals.  Some folks who moved away and left her in the backyard abandoned Kaycee's mom.  Fortunately, the neighbors rescued Kaycee's mom and found good homes for all of the puppies.  Kaycee was Hector's birthday present last year and has a very special place in Hector's heart.

Hector's favorite part about the DDD Club is the fact that everyone enjoys what they do as much as the dogs do. In addition, everyone is always friendly and ready to help, and supports and loves each other's dogs.  Something Hector hopes to capitalize on as he begins to teach Cheyenne her first real Frisbee "trick" - the vault.  Good luck, Hector!

Of course, someone has to support Cheyenne's Frisbee habit.  So, to that end, Hector spends his days as a Lighting Design Engineer at Hossley Lighting Associates and Chrys works as the receptionist for MC Communications, a local PR/Advertising agency in North Dallas.

At the next play day, take a moment to meet this fun couple, and of course, Cheyenne. They are great additions to the club.
