The meeting was called to order by Chuck Middleton.

The current officers each read their position descriptions and gave a brief accounting of where most of their time had been spent this year.

Officer nominations were requested.  Officers were elected as follows:

President:  Chuck Middleton
Executive VP Membership:  Jim Still
Events VP:  Keith Friend
Media VP:  Paul West
Treasurer:  Lori Friend
Secretary/Historian:  Lori Stephenson

It was requested that members at large sign up with a VP to help in any areas that they would like to assist.

Two new positions were appointed.  The position of Merchandising Coordinator, under the VP of membership, was filled by John Stephenson. The position of Newsletter Coordinator, under the VP of Media, was filled by Dave Caver.

Old business:  Purchases for 1998 were discussed.  Lori Friend gave the treasurer report detailing the club purchases.

New business:  The 1998 survey was distributed to club members present at the meeting.
The members not attending were mailed the survey for their input.  Results of the survey will be mailed to the members when the results have been compiled.  A new attendance point system was discussed and is being reviewed by the board.

As part of the meeting the Texas State Fair awards were distributed.  We also congratulated Bob and Luke in winning the 1998 World Championships.
