Congratulations to Mike Dobbs and Missy, our new Texas State Champions! For the first time in four years someone other than Bob or myself has won this coveted title. The State Championship was the culmination of the hard work of Keith Friend and Karen Ferguson, with additional contributions by many more of our members. The weather for this competition could not have been more beautiful! We had approximately 46 competitors and everyone who competed or attended walked away with a goody bag. The day was a wonderful success and a shining example of the capabilities and teamwork of the Dallas Dog and Disc Club. A special thanks should also go to Canine Commissary for their continuing financial support of this competition. If you get the chance, thank them personally by buying your next bag of dog food at one of their stores and tell them you're a member of the Dallas Dog and Disc Club.

Additional news includes the election of new officers, or should I say the reelection of old officers, at our annual business meeting. The faces will remain the same for another year, but what will change is the concerted effort of all the officers to involve additional members in capacities that suit their talents and desires. Hopefully everyone will embrace the added involvement enthusiastically and look at this as a step towards elected office next year.
