What is a 250 meter oval, 7 meters wide, 44 degree incline in the corners, constructed of custom-made resin-coated thick marine plywood panels attached to a welded steel superstructure? The EDS Superdrome in Frisco of course! This high-tech velodrome was the July 3rd demo site for the Dallas Dog and Disc Club.
Many of us (Friends, Wests, Evans, Stephensons, Stills, Ostrangers, Neil Sobol, Katy Caver, Guy Mayberry, Ron Doan) put on an excellent afternoon performance in spite of a field full of huge cracks, sparse grass, and triple digit temperatures. A great aid to make conditions bearable to the dogs was a wading pool set under the shade of an umbrella. We all did survive (although quite sweaty at the end) and did impress the
