run, and has really liked the camaraderie. She especially likes the friendly competition and performing some of her favorite "Dexter" tricks like catching him mid flip and butterflying the Frisbee off his head for a catch. As a spectator, I really like the butterfly flip off Dexter's head (Dexter's the first dog to perform this trick!). I also like the way Cynthia will butterfly a disc off her own head tocomplete the trick. What a fun trick! They also spent a couple days performing with club members this year at the State Fair and loved that experience.

Dexter has become somewhat of a local celeb in Arkansas. Cynthia has been interviewed about their success and competition on a local Radio station and has been contacted to make an appearance on their local television news station in Fayetteville. Keep your eyes open. There is no telling where you

Cynthia and Dexter came away from that match with a second place win in the intermediate division just a few points behind Chuck Middleton and Flygirl. They went on to win Best Novice Dog in the Arlington Aplo Local. They were not able to attend some of the other local competitions but made up for
their absence at the regional competitions. At their first regional in San Antonio, Cynthia made the top eight going into the final round with the 3rd highest freeflight score. At the Open regional in Denver, she also had a good
showing, finishing 6th place overall with the 2nd highest freeflight score. Not bad for
the first year. Cynthia hopes to keep working and earn a slot to attend the World Finals. With their current track record, that seems to be a very attainable goal.

Cynthia and Eddie have really enjoyed being a part of the club this past year. Cynthia credits many members of the club for the success she has had this year and feels everyone is very supportive. She is very impressed with the professional manner in which the club is

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT


The city of Dallas, TX  is to be having a series of AKC/TKC (American and Texas Kennel Clubs) dog shows March 19,20,21 at the Dallas Convention Center.  When our club found out ALPO was hosting & doing some Frisbee Dog demonstrations by Peter Bloeme among others we invited them to give a short program about throws, training, competitions, etc..  They have graciously accepted for the evening of March 20.

This gathering is open to everyone interested in the activity of canine disc.  It is intended for the less talented member of your team, ( i.e. thehuman.)
So please, no dogs at this one.

When: March 20 from 6:00PM - 7:30PM
Where:  Walnut Hill Recreation Center (site of April 25 Regional)
