Some of you may not know that we have a trainer in our midst. Pam Martin is a member that recently rejoined the club and renewed her membership after spending some time off starting up her own training facility in Garland --- Top Dog Obedience. Pam is an all breed trainer who has NINE dogs of her own currently. (That's a lot of dogs!) While she plays Frisbee with all her dogs, she has three that she plans to use for competition. They are all Border Collies -- Rip who is 5 years old, Flash who is 3 and Nike who is the youngest at 2. Pam was one of those people here in the beginning years of the club along with Ron and Chuck, and has enjoyed the club throughout.
When asked about her favorite aspects of the DDD, she states that she is enjoying the increased activity the club has experienced the past couple of years. The club seems to be doing more, and More is Better. She has always enjoyed the newsletters and has become a regular visitor to the club web site. Pam also stresses how she has been the recipient of much encouragement and really likes the friendliness amongst members in the club.
While she has included Frisbee training in her exercise program for a number of years she has just recently rekindled her interest in competing with her dogs. She competed in some of the club fun matches this past season and
had fun at the Texas State Championship this past fall. She especially had a good time exhibiting Rip at the Texas
