A Fair Experience

Well, I guess I am a good candidate to write this article, since I had the privilege(?) of attending the fair 7 or 8 times.  I lost count.  Actually it was a very enjoyable experience.  For those that were unable to attend Lou MacCammon and his Top Flight Canines put on a great show.  Our fellow club members did a great job of representing DDD at this Fall Fund-raiser.

Lou's little Jack Russell Terrier, Max, was one not to be missed.  I really enjoyed seeing this little dog perform and do his "natural end-over-end backflip."  Lou did a great job of varying the show depending on who from the club was performing.  A lot of us had the added bonus of getting to see Skidboot and his trainer perform.  This was an interesting act involving  Skidboot doing barrel racing, backing up, turning around, rolling over and even responding to verbal commands from his trainer.

Since attending the fair became my Fall hobby, I was able to see many of our members perform.  Jim Still and Crystal did a great job...the crowd really loved her long catches.  Cynthia Calhoun and Air Dexter looked great while representing all of the "women" in the sport.  Guy Mayberry and Jasper were able to show off their newly acquired back vault.  Mike Dobbs and Missy were by far the biggest crowd pleaser that I saw.  Jim Miears and Dexter were looking very polished.  Paul and Shadow even had time to almost perfect their double catch.  I'm sure I have forgotten a few, but honestly I think all the dogs excelled and that everyone feels this was a great opportunity to get their dogs out in front of a crowd and raise money for the club too!

P.S.  Is that trophy still missing???
