WHO'S WHO
in Dallas Dog & Disc
"West side story"

Paul and Terri started coming to playdays last August and formally joined our club at the beginning of the year.  In just this short time, Paul and Shadow have already made a name for themselves in competition and have developed quite a few difficult moves.  At our club Fun Matches, they placed 1st in intermediate and 2nd in Advance.  At the Houston contest, they came in 2nd in intermediate, and in Austin, they pulled off a 2nd place in advance.  Not bad for a newbie.  Everyone watch out.

Yes - Paul does have Shadow do several vaults in his freeflight routine.  Let us all remember the dog's size here.  ( Ugh!).  Paul naturally considers this a favorite trick.  He also is pleased with Shadow's flip catch which ends with him making a double catch at the end of the flip.  Watch for these moves at the upcoming Alpo events.

Shadow is not the only Frisbee player in the family.  The Wests' just recently purchased a tri-color border collie named Sport (Good Frisbee dog name).  This little one is already retrieving at only 8 wks.  His daddy was a champion herder so the border intensity will definitely be with this little dog.  Look out!!!  These dog lovers also have a 5-year-old miniature schnauzer named Allie.  We have not seen this one at a playday yet for some reason.

In their non-Frisbee hours, Paul works as a system engineer for Morris and Dickson, a wholesale pharmaceutical distributor out of Shreveport.  Terri is a part time senior project manager with American Airlines and a full time Mom (I do not believe that anyone can be a part time Mom).  Their kids, Perry and Jordan attend Johnson Elementary in Southlake.  The whole family are internet/computer junkies with a virtual computer network within their home.  Paul has been a great addition to our club's Web committee providing many of the improvements to our Web Site.  In his further spare time, Paul likes to play basketball, golf and coach his kids sports teams, while Terri is an avid reader able to knock off a novel in 2-3 days easy.  Perry stays busy with swimming and Jordan with soccer.  Both kids are also involved in gymnastics.

Paul, Terri, Shadow and clan are great additions to our club and should make great strides this season.  Ask Paul to tell you about Shadow's bladder capacity or about the time Shadow jumped out a second story window.  I would elaborate but my allotted space is dwindling.  We wish the Wests Luck and Welcome them to the DDD club family.
